Who is the church reflecting?  What is the church reflecting?  I’ve been struggling with these questions this past week.  As Christians, we are called reflect Christ.  I know this is difficult, and we aren’t perfect.  There are many times that I’d rather give someone my two cents instead of turning the other cheek and/or listening to what they have to say.

Perhaps I am becoming consumed with my mortally, but another question floating in the back of my mind is: "If today were the end, would God be pleased and say ‘Well, done, thanks for being my witness!’"  I stumbled onto a commercial floating around about people being hurt by the church (click here).  It’s a sad reality, but we as the church have screwed up royally!  OK fine, we’re human — but how long can we keep trying to use that as an excuse?  No wonder our churches are shrinking!

Who are you reflecting?

"For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers."  (Romans 8:29)
